Oooh La La

I think this was my very first sale purchase at Anthropologie early last year.  At the time, I wasn't sure I loved it.  Yet, for $29.99 I knew I wasn't passing it up.  Thank goodness I did, as I've gotten so much wear out of it!  The perfect little number for wanting to feel dressed up, but not overdressed.

**Please excuse some of the shadows in my pics! Hubby and I had a hard time finding light in our room!

Dress: Anthro Blooming Sapphire Wrap Dress
Shoes: Seychelles

These Seychelles shoes are one of my favorite buys this year.  Hubs got them for me on Gilt (if you're not a member of this site or Rue La La, shame on youuu!)  I wore either these or the wedges every night and couldn't believe I only got by with packing two pairs of real shoes!!

(If any of you ladies would like an invite to Rue La La... leave your email!  I believe if I invite you, you get a $20 credit on your first order :)

Cheers!

Part Deux... think pretty

Not going to lie.  I saw this dress on Katy a few weeks ago.  If  you have not yet been to her blog, your world is about to be rocked.  She is hilarious and she is my blog crush.  For reals.  Don't worry. Hubs isn't jealous.  I catch him "lol'ing" as I read him some of her posts.

When I saw the Tucker for Target dress on her blog, I was in love.  I know how popular these dresses are (why? Because they're gorgeous and CHEAP!), so I figured there was no way I'd be finding one in my size.  A few days later I was out running errands with my mama, and BAM.  Spotted. In my size. Are you SERIOUS?! Well needless to say there was no way I was leaving without that dress.  Big thanks to my mom for contributing to my honeymoon wardrobe!!

sunny recap

So excited to finally be back and share with all you lovely ladies!  My husband and I (ahh he's my hubby now!) travelled to the Dominican Republic for our honeymoon for 8 amazing days.  We stayed at the Excellence Resort in Punta Cana.  Pure gorgeousness.  Not a drop of rain the entire time... is that even possible?! Just warm sun, beautiful beach, amazing resort, and lots and lots of love.

Couldn't wait to get there and wear the outfits I had planned for our evenings out to dinner and shows!  The resort has 9 incredible restaurants, and pretty great entertainment! Needless to say, we ate A LOT... and I got to feel pretty doing it.  In all my favorite dresses :)

I'll recap an outfit or two a day!

Night one:
While in the Dominican, we decided to eat Mexican food the first night!  Bought this little number off the EA trade market months and months and months ago.  Can't believe I was actually able to save it!

Dress: Anthro
Necklace: Anthro
Cardigan: J Crew Jackie Cardigan
Shoes: SE Boutique wedges (DSW)

 We played giant chess...

...and hubby won!

OOTD: pretty bows

Happy Thursday everyone!  It's a very rainy day here in DC.  We had plans to run some wedding errands tonight, but traffic becomes IMPOSSIBLE in the rain around here.  SO, night in it is!

Thought I'd share a weekend outfit from a couple weekends ago... One of the few I actually took a couple pictures of!

This cardi was on my "ones I missed" list, until sweet Mom insisted on purchasing it when I found my size on eBay! LOVE!

Rainy night or not, hope all of you are having a great 'almost' weekend!!

where i've been...

Well my dears, I've finally surfaced after weeks and weeks away!  I've missed this little piece of my life so much!  Sharing with you ladies is something I look forward to so much!

Our wedding is officially 25 days away and the last several weeks have been spent in WEDDING MODE... spending nights with my bridesmaids, checking things off the do to list, parties, parties and more parties!!!

3 bridal showers and a bachelorette party later, I'm finally back and ready to share!

Anthro attire, of course, was worn at all!

OOTD(s): playing catch up

Yes, I'm still here!  And oh how I've missed you! :)

Things have been super busy around here.  Been hit with a crazy wedding fever planning bug (the good kind, where you get tons and tons done).  Unfortunately hasn't left time for much else!!  That, another busy week at work, and a bit of sickness has left me m.i.a for practically a whole week! AH!

Wanted to leave a quick post to share just a couple outfits from last week! Was running around so quickly I forgot to get pictures of most (or maybe, I didn't feel most were worthy of photographing...)

on to the outfits my pretties!

Wore this number out to dinner last week.  I have to say how much I am loving this belt!  The deuxhill cowlneck tops went on sale today.... Ladies, if you haven't tried on one of these, you're missing out.  They're amazing!!
Anthro Deuxhill Cowlneck
J Crew Jackie Cardigan
Anthro Bow Tied Beauty Belt
Nordstrom Rising Starlet Skinnies
Steve Madden Boots

And outfit number 2!! Worn out on double date night for bowling with my best friend and her hunny.  Had the most fun!!

J Crew Jackie Cardigan
Ann Taylor Zipper Tee
Dillards Skirt
Macys Belt
Steve Madden Boots
Ruche Double Dove Necklace

I have a little confession to make... this Apothecary Skirt from Anthropologie has been on my wish list since long before Christmas.  I've loved it for so long.  I've seen so many combinations in my head of what I could pair it with.  I've watched for weeks and weeks as Anthro kept it at it's price point of $128... sigh.  Until Lisa posted a link of this pretty little skirt at Dillards for less than half the price.  Are you kidding?! Dillards?! Ok, yes, I'm an Anthro devotee, but we all deserve a break sometimes.  So, I reluctantly pulled out my card and turned my back on my beloved... just for one afternoon.

Do you all hate me for it?!
